How to change or remove the copyright text in Magento
In the footer on the frontend of your Magento site there's a default copyright text: Magento Demo Store. All Rights Reserved. You can change that text or you can remove it completely. You can do that from the admin panel of your Magento.
After you log in go to System menu>Configuration, click on the Design button that's under the General menu on the left. A few panels will appear on the right; if it's not expanded, click on the Footer panel. There's a text area labeled Copyright. You can delete the text altogether in case you want to remove the copyright text, or you can replace it with anything you want. After that don't forget to click on the Save Config button in the upper right corner. Then flush the Magento cache and refresh the frontend of your store.
