How to add grouped products in Magento

In Magento you can use the grouped product type to create a pack of simple products. Customers can choose to order the whole group or just some of the associated products that are in the group.

To add a grouped product log in to the admin panel of your Magento, go to Catalog>Manage Products, click on the Add Product button, on the page that opens select Grouped Product from the drop-down menu for product type and choose the attribute set that you want to use, then click on the Continue button. The basic settings are configured in the same way as they are configured when adding a simple product. The differences are that you don't have to specify any weight as it's managed by the associated products. There are no price options since they are also managed by the products that are to be included into the group. For the same reason most of the inventory options are gone too.

After you configure the basic options click on the Associated Products tab on the left. A table with the existing simple products will be shown. Mark the checkboxes of the products that you want to put in the grouped product, optionally set the default quantity and position of each associated product and click on the Save button.

Then flush the Magento cache and the product should be visible on the frontend.
