How to view your SSH command history

You can see a list of the commands that you have executed on your HostKnox hosting account via SSH with the command history. This is very useful if, for example, you have executed a long and complicated command which you need to execute again, but you don't remember it. So to check the commands that you've executed in your current and previous SSH sessions, after you log in to your account through SSH just type:

history

press the Enter button to execute the command and you'll see a list of the previous commands. They should be ordered according to the time and date of execution, the most recent one being the last in the list.

You can also use the up arrow key on your keyboard to toggle between the last commands that you've executed.
