How to enable and disable avatars in Drupal

The option for user pictures is enabled by default. This means that registered users can upload a picture that will be displayed when they post comments on your site. To enable/disable avatars, log in to the admin panel of your Drupal, click on the Configuration tab in the top navigation bar and on the page that is displayed click on Account settings. On the following page there's a checkbox labeled Enable user pictures (in the section Personalization). Mark or unmark the checkbox to respectively enable and disable avatars. When the option is enabled some additional settings related to it will appear. From these settings you can change the default directory on your Drupal hosting account where the pictures are saved. You can change the image style used to display the picture on the frontend; you can set the maximum allowed dimensions and file size of the pictures that are to be uploaded. When you're done with the settings click on the Save configuration button at the bottom of the page.
