How to create and manage product tags in PrestaShop 1.5-1.6
In PrestaShop you can add one or more tags to any of your products. These are keywords that can be used by customers to find products. Tags are shown in a block on the frontend, and when a customer clicks on a tag all products associated with the tag are listed.
You can add tags either from Catalog menu>Tags sub-menu in the admin panel, or by using the corresponding option when adding/editing a product. In the second case you can associate tags only with the product that you're adding/editing.
Add Tags
To add tags to any of your products, go to Catalog menu>Tags sub-menu in the admin panel and on the page that opens click on the button Add new tag (in PrestaShop 1.5 it's Add new). On the page with the tag settings that opens type the tag in the field for Name and from the Language drop-down menu select the language to which you want the tag to apply. The tag will be used only with that language. Under these options there are two text areas. The left one lists all enabled products. To associate the tag with one or more products, select the products from that text area and click on the Add button that's under the list. This will move the products to the right text area. To select more than one product, press and hold the Ctrl button on your keyboard and mark the products with the left mouse button.
After you're done click on the Save button.
Manage Existing Tags
When you go to Catalog menu>Tags sub-menu in the admin panel you'll see a table that lists all the tags. It shows the name of each tag, the language with which it's associated and the number of products to which it's assigned.
To edit the options of a tag click on its row in the table or on its Edit button. In PrestaShop 1.5 the button is not labeled; it's an icon that looks like a pencil.
To delete a tag, click on the arrow that's next to its Edit button and from the drop-down menu that appears select Delete. In PrestaShop 1.5 the button is a trash can icon in the last table column. To delete more than one tag at the same time, mark the checkbox for each tag in the table and from the Bulk actions menu under the table select Delete selected.

As we mentioned, you can also add tags to a product when adding/editing the product. On the form for adding/editing the product click on the Information tab on the left and on the page that opens find the option Tags. After you type a tag in that field either put a comma or press the Enter button on your keyboard and the tag will be listed. You can remove it by clicking on its X symbol. After that click on the Save and stay or on the Save button.
