How to remove default article elements in Joomla

When you create an article and you set it to display on the frontend of the site, there are some default elements that are shown before the content of the site. Such elements are the category which the article belongs to, the publish date, the author, the number of hits, Print and Email icons, etc. If you want you can remove some or all of the elements from the admin panel's Article Manager.

To remove default article elements for all of your articles, log in to your backend (admin panel), go to the Article Manager (Content>Article Manager) and click on the Options button in the upper right corner. A window will open with a number of different options. Click on the Articles tab in the upper left corner of the window. If you want to hide elements that are shown by default just mark the Hide button for the particular option. From these options you can also configure elements that are hidden by default to be shown on the frontend of your site.

If you want to change options only for a particular article, in the Article Manager click on the name of the article to edit it. On the edit page click on Article Options on the right side to configure the options only for the article you're editing.
