HostKnox Client Area Tutorial

How to access and use the HostKnox Client Area

During the sign-up process for your first HostKnox hosting account you have to specify a password that will be used to access the HostKnox Client Area.

From the Client Area you can manage your hosting accounts, submit and view support tickets, you can order new accounts or product addons, you can edit your personal information (e.g. name, address, etc.) and you can change your password, etc. In this tutorial we'll show you how to access the Client Area and we'll make a general overview of its sections and functions.

To access the Client Area, open the HostKnox site and click on the Clients button at the top. You can also open directly the URL of the Client Area - https://www.hostknox.com/clientarea.php.

After you open the Client Area page you'll be prompted to enter your email address and password.

The email address is the one that you used while signing up for the hosting account. And the password, as we mentioned, is also specified by you during the sign-up process. After you type them click on the Log In button and you'll be logged into the Client Area.

The Client Area is divided into different sections which include:

  • Services - in this section you will find a list of the hosting accounts that you have purchased, their billing cycle (e.g. monthly, annually, etc.), the next payment due date for each of the accounts, as well as their current status.

  • Domains - in this section you'll find a list (if you have more than one) of the domain names that you have registered. You'll see the registration date of each domain and the next renewal date. Note that only those domains that are registered by HostKnox are listed here. The list does not include domains that are registered elsewhere but point to HostKnox hosting accounts.

  • Tickets - in this section you can view all the tickets that you've submitted to the support team and you can open new tickets.

  • Invoices - here you can see a table with all the invoices associated with your account(s). You'll see listed the date on which the invoice was issued, the total amount for each invoice and its status (e.g. paid, cancelled). For each invoice there's also a link with which you can display and view the actual invoice.

If you hover over your name at the top of the Client Area, you will see the following links:

  • Edit Account Details - from here you can edit your personal information (e.g. first and last name, country, city, address, etc.).

  • Contacts/Sub-Accounts - from here you can add people as new contacts and give them access to some or all of the sections and functions of the Client Area.

  • Change Password - you can change your Client Area password from here.

  • Email History - this section contains a list of all the emails sent from HostKnox to the email address associated with your account(s). These include Welcome emails, Order Confirmation emails, New Hosting Account Information emails, etc. You can view the content of each email by clicking on it.
